Facilities along the Dales Way

If anyone is aware of errors or omissions in the following, please do let us know at info@dalesway.org Do note that there are only very limited opportunities to obtain cash along the route and that few listed accommodation providers can accept payment by credit card. Make sure you have sufficient cash before you start and, maybe, pay for accommodation by cheque.

Ilkley

Addingham

Pubs & shops in village; when you emerge onto the road after passing the church, do not turn right but go straight ahead along Church Street. There is a telephone in 100yds. At the main road turn right into the village.

To get back onto the Dales Way leave the main street by Bolton Road and turn right along Bark Lane to signs on the left heading down towards the suspension bridge.

Bolton Bridge

Turn left from the old bridge along the road to the Abbey Tea Rooms, the Devonshire Arms Hotel and a telephone.

Bolton Abbey

Post Office, shop and café. Also Cavendish Pavillion café

(nearly 2 miles on westwards GR: 848824) Possible Refreshments.

Cam Houses

(3 miles on westwards GR: 823821) A walkers room at the back of the house is some times available for passing walkers for tea, coffee and simple refreshments with a toilet when the farm is occupied.

Cowgill

Sportsmans Inn GR:767863. May be open for meals at lunch time and in evening but may not be available for non residents. Check in advance.

Refreshments may be obtainable at Davy Bank Mill on west side of Crook o'Lune bridge. Telephone at GR:615965. Refreshments may also be obtainable at Hardrigg after crossing M6

Grayrigg

Telephone at GR:580971. Drinks may be obtainable from shed/caravan on the south side of Thrushgill Beck GR:568968.

Burneside

All facilities. Check in advance for availability of evening meal at Jolly Anglers.

Kendal

Staveley
